Helmutt Cycles
The name Helmutt is the professional DBA (and artistic handle) that Richard (Dick) Kramer of Phoenix Arizona uses for his bike building business. He originally started out using the name Helmet (the precursor to Helmutt) when he named a rock 'n' roll band Nelson Helmet and the Goggles. (He played keyboard, guitar and sang.) Life began for me in a Naval hospital somewhere in California. My earliest memories are of the floor from my high chair and the next 4 years in Hawaii. Then Dad retired from the military and our family moved to his home state of Colorado. That's my early history in a nutshell. Now for the real story.
My Dad liked to tinker in his shop, designing, building and rebuilding almost everything imaginable. He used to drag home lawn mowers, electronic gadgets and basically anything else he could find to work on. I spent a lot of time with my Dad in that garage.
